Public & Boater Outreach

The primary objective is to raise awareness of the sanctuary White Shark regulations and the conservation issues that led to their development. The regulations are the result of seven years of study, planning and extensive public input from the Sanctuary Advisory Council, shark biologists, shark dive operators, wildlife recreationists, stakeholder agencies and members of the public.

Sanctuary public and boater outreach efforts are intended to foster stewardship of the local population of White Sharks and enhance compliance with sanctuary regulations.
