High School Teacher Professional Development Workshops

Teachers are trained to use the Coastal Ecosystem Curriculum, while learning about the oceanography and ecology of Gulf of the Farallones through activities and field trips. We present background information and instruct teachers how to use the activities in the curriculum with units on oceanography, food web, sandy beach, seabirds and shorebirds, oil spills and the rocky intertidal habitat. Teachers are also trained to monitor the sandy beach and rocky intertidal with their students.
